Lands Creek Studios - the Smoky Mountain's newest full service audio recording facility

RATES - We only look expensive!

Probably the first question asked about a recording project is sometimes the hardest to answer. Although our standard tracking rate is currently $65 per hour we have several ways to approach project cost:

Hourly - a general estimate is $65 per hour which includes our house engineer. It is important to understand that we are not “clock watchers” who run a “hard” clock. We will do what it takes to properly complete your project and stay within your budget.

Per Song - depending on number of tracks required and complexity of material.

Block Time - discounts available for larger projects - 20 or more hours

Block Time with Lodging - same as above with lodging at Lands Creek Log Cabins. The best deals on this can be had during the winter and spring months.

Here are a few questions to ponder prior to booking studio time that can help everyone involved know what to expect :

What’s the overall budget?

Will we need lodging? How many people for how long?

Overall goals - How many songs can be completed in the time period budgeted? A well rehearsed band can really do well here and capture the spontaneous energy of early tracks!

Production - Most artists are able to self- produce in our studio. We will do our best to provide input when asked.

How much equipment will you need to bring? House equipment is available at a nominal charge.

Will you need additional session players or possibly “original” material. We can help out in both these areas.

Duplication and Graphics - not all projects go for duplication but we assist you with that step.

Do you want to finish your project at this time or work on it over a period of time? Either one works for us. Once you purchase disk/tape you can store and open your project any time.

With all things considered, the most important thing to remember is that we want to help you make your project happen. Way back when, we got in to music for the love of music, not money.
